Years in the making, the Monmouth Mile is the brainchild of NJ*NY professional runner Travis Mahoney - a local NJ native himself. 

The motivation? To run an elite mile at the Jersey Shore surrounded by one of the greatest local running communities out there. The inaugural event did not disappoint. Four men dipped under the prestigious  4-minute mile barrier, giving spectators and participants an up close and personal look at elite racing.
